Affiliate Marketing is the quickest and by far easiest way if you want to make money online in the internet marketing world. So what is affiliate marketing? Simply put you sell products for someone else and you get a commission. Now there are many different ways you can go about this and I am going to discuss just a few.

The first thing you need to decide is what niche your affiliate marketing is going to be centered on. The niche you choose will for the most part determine what type of affiliate marketing you do. For instance if you chose to be an affilite in the electronics niche then you would be working with physical products in which case you would be working with online stores like amazon and ebay.

If you chose to get into the internet marketing niche then your products are going to be mostly information type products and so you would be going to places like Clickbank to find your affiliate products to promote. Then there are those niches that cross both types of affiliate marketing like self help for instance. In the self help niche there are information affiliate products like guides on how to stop procrastination but also there are physical products like supplements for instance.

Whatever type of affiliate marketing you decide to start with there is nothing to stop you crossing over at a later stage but it is really important that you take action and actually try to get results before looking at other options.

For anyone new to affiliate maketing there are two different options that are the best way to get started. THe first which I personally believe is the best option is promoting physical products with the Amazon affiliate marketing. Mow the Amazon affiliate program may not offer the best returns but it is the easiest to get accepted by and is a great way to get your teeth into the affiliate marketing world.

The second is with Clickbank selling informational products. Now this provides a higher return per sale but can be more difficult to achieve sales. If you do decide to go this route then stay away from the internet marketing niche as it is very difficult to compete with the big boys who offer huge bonuses to anyone who buys through their affiliate links so the competition is too much for any newbie to handle.

So affiliate marketing is the easiest way to start making money online but be aware of the pitfalls for newbies.
